The Juncos

The Junco family came by today and found the feast of seeds spread out behind the boxwoods.

Their dark backs contrasted against the snow made them easy to see from the window. Yet, they stay close enough to enter the boxwood in one swift leap upward.

Constantly on guard, alert and aware, they live by their wits and skills. Braving the brutal cold is only one of their struggles through the winter months.
